The 1.2-litre TSI engine makes use of turbocharging technology and years of research and development to produce 77kW and 175Nm of torque. To put that into perspective, the 1.8-litre engine
The only engine option available is a 1.0-liter TSI motor that puts out 110 hp (82 kW) and 175 N⋅m (129 lb⋅ft) of torque. Available gearboxes are 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed tiptronic. In India, the facelifted version was released in September 2019 whilst older versions of them will be kept on sale for a few years.
Having driven both, from standstill the TSI gets off the line quicker. Anyone who has driven both would say the same thing. To the best of my knowledge the gear ratio is not same across the world for the 1.6 77KW TDI engine (India 1.5 TDI and India 1.6 TDI Speed vs RPM in Gear was same when I compared GT 1.5 TDI against Vento 1.6 TDI).
