2. With such a small force, I would suggest building equipment as quickly as possible. An army will come to defend it. You do need to know the wall level of the castle. If it's 2 or 3, you'll want a siege tower or two. If it's 1, you can usually just launch a direct assault without bothering with equipment. Your men will just launch ladders up
Couple things here. Press L1 to bring up your units stratified by unit type. By default all units are selected. To make it so that one less unit is selected press down on the d pad over that unit. The yellow highlight will disappear and orders issued will only be in effect for the highlighted groups.
